Hello everyone, My name is Nishant Kumar and I have 7 years of blogging experience. Today I will guide you on the scope of blogging in 2024 and 5 years afterwards. Let’s get started

I believe there are generally two types of people who live in the society.

One who is creatively active and he/she finds fun in doing creative things. The second group is not interested in doing new stuff and has a traditional approach to their life.

If you are creative and not into the typical 9-5 job, not much into business, but bursting with creativity and looking to do your thing, blogging could be your thing. Blogging isn’t just about writing; it’s a whole business. It involves knowing your stuff, digital marketing, and sales. Technically speaking, blogging is called content marketing, and content is the backbone of successful online marketing. One who does it better gets more sales and hence more money.

These days, blogging is super popular among Gen Z. It’s seen as both a creative career option and a way to make money, so people worldwide are giving it a go. Beginners often wonder how to turn blogging into a career, what opportunities it holds, and how much cash they can make. Actual Scope of blogging in 2024 and 5 years after

The future of blogging often comes up when people ask me about my journey. Sometimes, life isn’t just about money it’s about following your passions. Eventually, that passion can turn into a source of income.

When I started blogging back in 2016 I had only one thought in my mind. Every day, I’m learning new things to enhance my skills and knowledge in this field.

Scope of blogging in 2024: Blogging is a skill that’s always relevant and will continue to shine in the coming years. Whether you’re a business owner or a customer, blogging will always play an essential role.

For businesses, blogging isn’t just a hobby; it’s a strategic move. It drives quality traffic, generates leads, and boosts brand awareness. It’s become a necessary tool for success. From a customer’s perspective, the internet is the go-to for finding the best products and services. That’s where blogging steps in. It offers valuable information that users seek.

However, the blogging landscape has evolved. It’s not just about jotting down thoughts and sharing them on social media anymore. It’s become more intricate. To succeed in 2023 and beyond, understanding search engines, SEO, keywords, HTML, content creation, and copywriting is essential.

Competition in blogging is fierce, especially for securing that coveted first-page spot on search engines. If you’re starting out, it might take time to gain traction. Focus on your niche and content quality rather than immediate money or viewership. If you’re considering starting blogging in 2024, aim for rich content. Update your skills, use SEO techniques, tell engaging stories, and enhance your content writing and copywriting abilities. That’s the key to achieve success in blogging in 2024 and 5 years after the next year.

Average blogger income in India

According to a recent survey, it is estimated that a regular blogger’s salary in India can be somewhere between $500 to $15,000, and celebrity bloggers earn between $1,00,000 to $2,00,000 in monthly income. These figures can vary based on how much authority your website has in the eyes of search engines as a blogger and how much quality traffic your blog generates monthly.

Let’s see my earnings over time

I started blogging in 2015. For 2 straight years, I had not made even a single dollar. In the year 2018, I started making $100 per month. In 2019, I started making $400 per month. In 2020, I started making around $600 per month. 2021 was the same because of personal problems. In 2022, I made $1,000 per month. In 2023, the amount has grown to $1,200 per month. Over time I have made more than 20+ websites. Since year 2021, I have not only been dependent on blogging but have started earning from more than 5 sources.

What about Below-average bloggers’ earnings per month?

Also, it’s interesting to note that some below-average bloggers earn somewhere between $50 to $500 per month, with only a handful earning between $5000 to $10,000. Bloggers in India must continue reinventing themselves and improving their content to secure sufficient traffic that translates to money. Suppose you are not generating enough income as a blogger in India. In that case, it may seem like a colossal waste of time and resources.

Limitations of blogging

There are various limitations to blogging we should understand before choosing blogging as a career option.

  1. Time Commitment: Writing user-friendly and helpful content, managing your site, interacting with readers, and staying in the loop with trends demand a lot of time and dedication. Overall you require top commitment.

  3. Pressure to Create Content: Keeping up with regular, top-quality content can be tough. Finding fresh ideas, doing research, and staying consistent might lead to feeling burnt out or stuck creatively.
  4. Tech Learning Curve: Wrapping your head around website management, SEO tricks, analytics, and other technical bits can be daunting for beginners. It’s a learning journey that’s always ongoing.
  5. Standing Out in the Crowd: With millions of blogs out there, getting noticed is a real challenge. Building a devoted audience amid the fierce competition can be a bit of a struggle.
  6. Visibility on Search Engines: Climbing up the search engine ladder demands solid SEO strategies and patience. Getting spotted by the right audience, especially when you’re new, can take time.
  7. Handling Feedback: Engaging with your audience, dealing with comments, and managing feedback, especially the negative ones, can be a bit draining or time-consuming.
  8. Unpredictable Income: Making money through blogging can be a rollercoaster, especially at the start. Income might fluctuate due to factors like website traffic or changes in ad revenue.
